I am so ramen-ed out right now.
Hokkaido is the birthplace of miso ramen.
Sapporo has a dedicated Ramen Yokocho, a narrow strip of teeny shops nestled away in the side streets, exclusively selling ramen. Due to this Just E, the Ham Captain (traveller formerly known as Fritz) and I bee-lined there for lunch almost every day of our trip. It was a very very necessary part of our day and we ensured that we patronised a different restaurant to make sure we were getting a well rounded ramen education.
We are now all experts, and as such I don't want to look at another bowl of ramen ever again, or at least for an exceptionally long time.
